About

Bryan Ekman is a slave to a creative mistress.  His being is consumed by any inspired activity that brings some small part of his twisted brain to life.  He current wears many hats at Piranha Games Inc., which he co-founded with his partner Russ Bullock in 2000.  Bryan is a fan of most game related activities and regularly participates in or plays Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering and other classic tabletop games.

What is my job at PGI?

As an owner, I participate in all levels of decision making, from business to basic operations.  As Creative Director, I am responsible for designing the overall vision of every game we make.  This includes spearheading the original game, art, and sound designs.  I split my day between working closely with our current project designers to execute the game's vision, and working on future designs.  We have a skunkworks program, called Section 4.  This embryonic group of designers gets together on a regular basis to brainstorm new ways of making games.  While most of the ideas never see the light of day, some of the best concepts are pushed into our production line.
